MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Belarusians on Easter, BelTA learned from the press service of the president.

“Easter is a source of great joy and spiritual strength. It celebrates the value of human life, enhances belief in love and justice,” the message reads.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Christianity has been nurturing the best human qualities – kindness, compassion, selfless service to other people – for centuries. “Orthodox Christianity traditions remain the moral foundation for Belarusian people who are always ready to lend a helping hand to people in need regardless their religion and nationality. Genuine faith is impossible without good deeds,” the president added.
