MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) on the occasion of the 90^th anniversary of the organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“As an object of strategic importance, the Academy plays a crucial role in the development of the national economy and enhancement of national security. At the dawn of sovereign Belarus a future-oriented decision was made to keep a high status of the organization,” the message of greetings reads.

“You are in charge of the scientific support of important national programs, space exploration, development of modern bio- and nanotechnologies, creation of the intellectual economy, promotion of the historical and cultural legacy of the nation, participation in global international projects,” the head of state remarked.

The Belarusian president is convinced that the professionalism and profound knowledge of scientists, their curiosity for new discoveries will be always used to address crucial issues and enhance Belarus’ independence.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the personnel of the Academy unflagging inspiration, every success and great achievements for the benefit of people and the native country.
