MINSK, 22 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is paying a visit to the 38th Brest Guards Vienna Red Banner Air Assault Brigade, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will be briefed on the history of the brigade and its combat capabilities. Aleksandr Lukashenko will get familiar with the samples of armament and military equipment in service, and also the living conditions of the servicemen.
The president is also set to meet with the military staff of the brigade.
As BelTA reported earlier, in the early morning of 22 June, Aleksandr Lukashenko took part in the event to mark the Day of National Memory of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War in Brest Fortress.
