Lukashenko meets with Min Aung Hlaing in Presidential Palace in Naypyidaw

NAYPYIDAW, 28 November (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has met with Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Administration Council Min Aung Hlaing at the Presidential Palace in Naypyidaw. One-on-one and expanded-format talks are scheduled to take place here, BelTA has learned.

The Presidential Palace is the official residence and office of the President of Myanmar in the capital. The building was constructed and opened in 2010. The Palace comprises 100 rooms and is used exclusively for national ceremonies, diplomatic receptions, and government meetings.

As BelTA previously reported, the leaders of Belarus and Myanmar will discuss promising areas of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. This will include the development of cooperation in agriculture, food security, industry, and pharmaceuticals.

The agenda for the talks also includes a substantial set of issues concerning humanitarian cooperation.

An assessment will be made of the progress in implementing the agreements reached during the high-level talks in Minsk in March and June 2025.
