MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave an interview to the U.S. media company Newsmax on 13 December, BelTA has learned.
The head of state shared his vision for the future of relations between Belarus and the United States.
The interview also addressed prospects for resolving the conflict in Ukraine and the role of U.S. President Donald Trump in this process.
Another topic was the situation surrounding Venezuela and the growing tensions in its relations with the United States amid accusations of drug trafficking.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also answered questions about his personal impressions from interactions with several foreign leaders, including President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Xi Jinping of China.






The interviewer was Greta Conway Van Susteren, host of the program The Record with Greta van Susteren on Newsmax. The program airs on weekdays and holds a prominent place in the evening schedule.
Notably, Greta Van Susteren is the wife of U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale, with whom Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks in Minsk in recent days.
Newsmax was founded in 1998. The media holding includes the Newsmax TV channel, the Newsmax online portal, and the print publication Newsmax Magazine.
