MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated students, postgraduates, teachers, and academic staff on Knowledge Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“1 September is a special date on the calendar. After all, we are all united by warm memories and good traditions from our school childhood and student youth," the congratulatory message reads.

On this day, the head of state addressed words of sincere support to first-graders. “Your timid yet joyful steps along the cozy school corridors mark the beginning of a new stage in your life’s journey. May this major chapter in your life be colorful, full of interesting and amazing discoveries,” the president noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished college, university, and military academy students that this academic year would become a time of professional growth and bring them closer to achieving their cherished goals.

As is tradition, the head of state addressed teachers and parents: “I wish you strength and patience in your difficult work. Be for our children an example of patriotism, wisdom, and love. I am convinced that only together can we raise educated and intelligent young people, ready to work for the benefit of Belarus and to defend it if necessary.”

The president wished everyone health, happiness, inexhaustible enthusiasm, and good luck to the youngest explorers of the world of knowledge.
