Lukashenko: Bolstering ties with EU is one of Belarus’ foreign policy priorities

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – The development of mutually beneficial ties with the European Union member states is one of Belarus’ foreign policy priorities, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said as he received credentials from foreign ambassadors on 25 June, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus is interested in cooperation with Belgium, seeks to systematize and enhance bilateral ties,” the head of state said.

The Belarusian President also sees good reserves for bolstering cooperation in various fields, first of all, in economy, with Denmark. “There are no obstacles for it,” Alexander Lukashenko believes.

Lukashenko receives credentials from credentials from the Ambassador of Denmark to BelarusHe also noted that Belarus and Ireland have a big potential for expanding bilateral ties. “Active contacts in the humanitarian field and at the interpersonal level which emerged thanks to the sincere support of Ireland in the mitigation of Chernobyl disaster consequences, recuperation of children from affected regions create a favorable background for interaction in other areas,” the Belarusian President believes.
