Lukashenko: Belarus and Russia will withstand West’s sanctions

MOSCOW, 11 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will withstand the sanctions of the West in enemies’ despite, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told reporters prior to his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on 11 March, BelTA has learned.

“We will hold out for sure! In enemies’ despite!” the Belarusian head of state said when asked whether Russia and Belarus will be able to survive the sanctions.

A reminder, at the Moscow talks the leaders of the two countries are set to discuss topical issues of bilateral relations, cooperation within the Union State, economic interaction in the face of sanctions. The situation in the region and in Ukraine is also on the agenda.
