MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – The “Normandy four” have gathered in the Palace of Independence for talks on Ukraine, BelTA has learned.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin joined Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko, France President Francois Hollande, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who were already there. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko welcomed the foreign leaders in the Palace of Independence.

The Ukrainian leader was the first one to arrive. Bilateral talks between
Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko took place.

After that
Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel reached the Palace of Independence at the same time. They had a brief conversation with the Belarusian head of state.
The foreign leaders have gathered in Minsk to discuss proposals on ways to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.
