Eurasian forum of young scientists opens in Minsk

MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – The First Eurasian Forum of Young Scientists (YES-Forum) has opened in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

“The forum demonstrates that the cooperation between young scientists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and other countries today is stronger than ever before. Belarus has been chosen to host the event not by chance. It was our idea to organize the forum,” Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) Andrei Ivanets told journalists on 1 December.

Eurasian forum of young scientists opens in MinskPartaking in the forum are more than 500 young scientists from twelve countries including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Germany.

The forum is aimed at presenting projects jointly implemented by young scientists from different countries. “All the projects on display are large-scale joint innovative projects. Some of them have already been carried out,” Andrei Ivanets emphasized.

Eurasian forum of young scientists opens in MinskScientific achievements in different fields, from environmental protection to medicine, will be showcased as part of the forum. The event is focused on scientific breakthroughs and the economic and social processes that are underway in the context of the Eurasian integration. The work of the forum will be divided into thee sections, namely Materal Science, Life Science, and Social Science.

Eurasian forum of young scientists opens in MinskThe 12th international scientific conference of young scientists Youth in Science is held as part of the forum. “A roundtable meeting will be held on 2 December to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus,” Andrei Ivanets added.

Minsk is hosting the First Eurasian Forum of Young Scientists from 1 though 4 December. The event has been organized on the initiative of the NASB Council of Young Scientists. The forum is held once in two years.
