5 April (BelTA) – Three-time Olympic champion and 2015 Big Crystal Globe winner Darya Domracheva of Belarus won the Biathlon Race of Champions Women Mass Start at the Geolog Stadium in Tyumen on 5 April. Second was Belarus’ Nadezhda Skardino, BelTA has learned.

Darya Domracheva finished in 15:59.2 minutes with one penalty. Her teammate Nadezhda Skardino finished 5.5 seconds behind. Third was Italy’s Karin Oberhofer. Kaisa Makarainen of Finland finished fourth.

“I win the Race of Champions Mass Start for the first time. I like Tyumen. If a year ago the Race of Champions was held in the indoor Olimpiysky sport center, then in Tyumen you had to battle the wind in addition to the competition with your rivals,” Darya Domracheva said after the awards ceremony.
