MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended greetings to healthcare workers on a professional holiday - the Medical Workers Day, BelTA has learned from the press service of the head of state.
“You have chosen one of the most important and noblest professions. Your responsible mission is to preserve people’s health, and sometimes life. Doctors who help people deal with health problems and afflictions have always been treated with boundless respect,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state noted that today the world is taking another stress test: the pandemic of coronavirus infection. Fortunately, Belarus’ healthcare system has a powerful epidemiological service, advanced scientific and practical centers, well-equipped clinics, pharmaceutical manufacturing and, most importantly, a sufficient number of medical practitioners. “It is your selfless work, loyalty to duty, high qualifications and competence that make it possible to provide affordable and quality medical care to all people in Belarus,” the president stressed.
