MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – It is needed to optimize Belarusian law enforcement bodies. The statement was made at the session to discuss the development of national security agencies on 10 November, BelTA has learned.
The session focused on the situation in every law enforcement agency. The President listened to all the leaders, evaluated the efficiency of their work and gave concrete instructions. The head of state told those present at the session that it is needed to raise the efficiency of work and coordinate interaction between the agencies.
The participants of the session also discussed a number of topical issues, for example, the bulkiness and overstaffing of certain organizations, excessive functions which have a negative impact on labor productivity. State Secretary of the Security Council Stanislav Zas told reporters after the session that the main objective of developing the national security system is to create close-knit, mobile and efficient law enforcement and other related organizations. “The head of state made it clear that it will impossible to work the way we did before. Heads of the agencies will have to revise their methods and optimize the work of subordinate organizations,” he said.
The State Secretary of the Security Council, in turn, was instructed to supervise the executive discipline in all law enforcement agencies.
