Belarus’ Valeria Gritskova wins javelin throw event at 2nd CIS Games

MINSK, 7 August (BelTA) – The National Olympic Training Center for Athletics hosted another day of throwing events at the 2nd CIS Games, BelTA has learned.

The javelin throw final wrapped up the competitions program on 7 August. Belarusian Valeria Gritskova took gold with a throw of 53m. Her teammate Regina Aleinikova landed third with 42.02m. Russia’s Riana Khroz clinched silver with 46.05m.

Juniors will join the javelin throw competitions on 8 August. On the same day the National Olympic Training Center for Athletics will host women’s discus throw final.
