MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Belarus is proud of its close cooperation with such influential countries as Russia, China, and India and its improving relations with the European Union, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his address to the nation and the parliament on 29 April, BelTA has learned.
“We are proud that we have good relations with such giants as Russia, China, and India and are happy that our relations with the EU are improving,” the Belarusian leader said.
Alexander Lukashenko was pleased to note that Belarus has developed all-round strategic cooperation with the People’s Republic of China. “We have strong and long-standing relations based on trust. In our bilateral cooperation, we have moved from trade to large-scale investment projects,” the President noted. The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park will become the platform for the development of high-tech solutions. A direct flight connection between Belarus and China will be established in May 2015.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the upcoming visit of China President Xi Jinping to Belarus will give a new impetus to the all-round cooperation between the two states.
