MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Police ensures the proper level of public security in Belarus. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement during the solemn meeting held on 3 March to celebrate the 100th anniversary since the day Belarusian police was founded, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko said: “As we objectively evaluate the performance of the Belarusian Interior Ministry these days, we can say honestly that Belarusian police ensures the proper level of public security in the country and stays on top of the situation. Belarusian police is capable of forestalling an increase in crime rate. Belarusian police can protect the society and every citizen from any criminal encroachments.”
The head of state remarked that the country’s guests are delighted by Belarus’ natural and man-made beauty. They also highly appreciate tranquility, order and security in Belarusian cities, towns and villages. “Life is safe here. Not all the developed countries can boast such an opinion,” pointed out the President.
In his words, the accomplishments should not be the reason for self-complacency. A number of negative phenomena still need to be addressed while some kinds of crimes are becoming vividly international and transnational.
