Belarus president extends Easter greetings to Orthodox Christians

MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has extended his Easter greetings to the country’s Orthodox Christians, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

“Easter symbolizes the triumph of life and unites people, who are guided by kindness and compassion,” the message reads.

Alexander Lukashenko remarked that this holiday reveals the essence of Christianity filled with light and love and highlights the spiritual revival of every person, whose heart is open to faith.

“The special atmosphere of these days brings deep genuine happiness to people, encourages them to do good deeds and take care of their families and other people in need of support and compassion,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
