MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Orel Oblast will implement a number of large-scale projects. The agreement was reached at the meeting between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Governor of Russia’s Orel Oblast Vadim Potomsky on 24 March, BelTA has learned.
After the meeting the Russian governor told reporters that the sides are going to launch a number of projects in the near future. To accelerate this process, Belarus will open its representation office in Orel Oblast; the representation office of this region will be opened in Belarus. Specialized ministries are working out a dairy productionwhich will specify the terms of implementation of concrete projects.
Speaking about the avenues of cooperation, Vadim Potomsky said that these include dairy production, construction of new dairy farms and a full cycle of milk processing, grain processing, production of fertilizers, industrial manufacturing. Orel Oblast is ready to build up cooperation in agriculture, machine-building, set up joint ventures.
“The meeting was very productive. I am convinced that the effect from this meeting will be very big,” the governor said.
