MINSK, 2 January (BelTA) – The National Tourism Agency (NTA) of Belarus has issued a calendar of tourist events in Belarus in 2016, BelTA learned from NTA Acting Director Grigory Pomerantsev.
“The calendar of events 2016 is already available on the website of the National Tourism Agency. It includes the events in Minsk and in the regions that may be of interest to tourists. These are concerts, exhibitions, theatrical forums, folk holidays, sporting competitions and other events. At least 10 events are scheduled for every month,” said Grigory Pomerantsev.
The calendar gives the names of the events, their dates and venues, contact information. "It contains all the events that will be held in the country in the coming 12 months. During the year, this list will be complemented with new events," he explained.
Activities that may be of interest to foreign tourists will be advertized abroad. "It is logical to do this in respect of the events which target foreign tourists as their primary audience. For example, many of the events in Brest Oblast and Grodno Oblast need to be promoted in the Polish and Lithuanian markets. The events in Mstislavl which is located on the border with Russia may be of interest to the Russian audience,” Grigory Pomerantsev said.
