Belarus interested in advancing all-round cooperation with Vietnam

MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in the enhancement of all-round cooperation with Vietnam, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Belarus Do Van Mai whose diplomatic mission in the country is expired, BelTA has learned.

The President thanked Do Van Mai for the work he has done as the Ambassador of the fraternal country. According to Alexander Lukashenko, the Belarusian side hopes that the successor of this diplomat will also do his best to advance bilateral relations because “we are interested in bolstering not only our trade and economic cooperation but also all-round interaction.”

The Belarusian President expressed confidence that Vietnam will be one of the world’s most developed countries in the coming decade. “When building relations with your country, we would like to take part in this robust development,” the President said.

“We, in turn, are ready to do our best to promote the interests of Vietnam here, in the center of Europe.
