Project goal:
Repairs and renovations of the school swimming pool that will provide a wide range of additional services. The project is aimed at satisfying a wide variety of consumers’ sports and recreational needs such as swimming training, athletic reserve training (swimming, triathlon, water polo), recreational swimming, water aerobics etc.
Project objectives:
To modernize the swimming pool bowl, auxiliary facilities (locker rooms, showers, medical room, dry swimming room);
To fit it with advanced technical equipment (ventilation, circulation system, water purification and disinfection);
To purchase sports equipment for mass sports and recreational activities.
Description of the project activities:
Organizing swimming classes, holding sports and recreational activities for students, parents and the city residents.
Target group:
Students of Secondary School No.18 of the city of Mogilev;
Students of other educational establishments of the city of Mogilev;
Students of sports schools of the city of Mogilev;
City residents.
Expected result:
Satisfying a wide variety of consumers’ sports and recreational demands, such as health improvement, swimming training, athletic reserve training (swimming, triathlon, water polo), recreational swimming, water aerobics etc.
Project background:
The humanitarian project “To Be Fit, Happy And Healthy” is designed to repair and renovate the school swimming pool and to provide a wide range of additional services. This seems extremely relevant, as there are two thousand thirty-two minor children living in the school neighborhood. The swimming pool is attended by the students of this school, students of sports schools, there are swimming training classes for minors and adults of the city of Mogilev. Health improvement and rehabilitation services for disabled people and members of the veteran organization of the Oktyabrsky District of Mogilev are also rendered here. Competitions of city and regional levels are regularly held in the pool. The project is aimed at satisfying a wide variety of consumers’ sports and recreational demands, such as swimming training, athletic reserve training (swimming, triathlon, water polo), recreational swimming, water aerobics etc. The swimming pool of the state educational establishment “Secondary School No. 18 of the city of Mogilev” is the only functioning swimming pool in Oktyabrsky District and the implementation of this project will be of great importance for health improvement of the district population and, in general, for improving the quality of life in the Republic of Belarus by means of sport activities.
Post-project activities:
After renovations and repairs, the pool will be able to provide a wider and higher quality range of sports, entertainment and recreational services to the population.

About us:
State educational establishment “Secondary School No.18 of the city of Mogilev” has been around for over 70 years. It was set up after the war in 1948. In January 1978, the school moved into a new building that had a swimming pool, a sports hall and an assembly hall. The Mogilev City Executive Committee is the founder of the state educational establishment “Secondary School No. 18 of the city of Mogilev”. The educational institution is headed by Sergey Bonich. In 2019/2020, 1227 students are enrolled in this state educational establishment. Six sports schools for children and youth of the city of Mogilev regularly use the school sport facilities.
