Equipping Social Services Center of Grodno’s Leninsky District with innovative technologies

Project name: Equipping the Social Services Center of Grodno’s Leninsky District with innovative technologies to improve access and quality of social services for people with visual and hearing impairments

Implementation period: 1 year

Applicant: Social Services Center of Leninsky District of Grodno

Project goals:
- Facilitating successful socialization of citizens with disabilities through innovative tools and their integration into society;
- Strengthening the facilities and infrastructure of the center to improve access and quality of social services and assistance to people with visual and hearing impairments.

Project objectives:

1. Fitting the center with accessibility equipment to make the site more accessible to people with visual and hearing impairments
2. Preparing programs to train specialists and employees to use technological innovative tools and share the experience with partners
3. Implementing various activities using technological tools to encourage the target group to use the services of the center

Target group: People with disabilities, visitors to the center with visual and hearing impairments.

Brief description:

- Purchase and installation of a voice information reporting system for disabled and visually impaired people. It is activated via a device held by a disabled person. The voice message is played through the built-in speaker or transmitted via radio to the subscriber’s device. The signaling device reproduces information about the organization: name, working hours, lines of work; and helps a disabled person to navigate inside the building, plays an orientation sound signal. A voice information reporting system is needed for safe and free movement of visually impaired people without assistance. Using this device, they will be able to navigate more confidently around the premises and live a more fulfilling life.

The stationary system is intended for sound and visual adaptation of premises for the visually impaired people and other low-mobility groups.

- conducting training seminars for specialists;
- organization of workshops on the use of innovative technologies.

  • Co-financing: 10,000
