MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – The Chinese government will send the second large humanitarian cargo to help Belarus fight the coronavirus. It will be shipped in tree batches on 15 May, 20 May, and in June, BelTA learned from the Chinese Embassy in Belarus.

“The second humanitarian cargo with medical products from the Chinese government will be delivered in three batches: two by air and one by rail,” the embassy noted.

The first batch, due on 15 May, will include reagents/test kits and will be supplied by air. Another flight will deliver N95 respirators and surgical masks on 20 May. The third batch is set to be sent from China in early June. It will contain hazmat suits, goggles, gloves, and infrared thermometers. “The last batch will arrive in Minsk by railway transport, specifically, by container trains along the China-Europe route. The detailed information about the batch will be provided after confirmation from the Chinese partners,” the embassy stressed.

All in all, this humanitarian cargo will include 150,000 reagents/test kits, 50,000 hazmat suits, 150,000 N95 respirators, 500,000 surgical masks, 3,000 infrared thermometers, 70,000 goggles, and 150,000 gloves.

The first humanitarian cargo from China arrived in Belarus on 1 April. It was also meant to help fight COVID-19.
