Belarus to get another batch of Chinese COVID-19 vaccines

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Another batch of the Chinese vaccine against COVID-19 is ready for dispatch to Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.

"The documents for the purchase of 1 million doses of the vaccine have already received all approvals. Representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and the embassies of the two countries actively assisted the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus. China will also send 500,000 doses of vaccine and 500,000 syringes to Belarus as foreign gratuitous aid. All in all, this week Belarus will receive 1.5 million doses of Sinopharm-made SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated," the press service said.

It is expected that the cargo will be delivered to the regions and Minsk after the vaccine passes quality control at the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, and the syringes receive registration at the Center for Expertise and Testing in Healthcare.
