Arushanyants: Belarusian People’s Congress will boost public-private dialogue

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – The 5th Belarusian People’s Congress will help intensify the public-private dialogue, Piotr Arushanyants, Director of the Entrepreneurship Department of the Belarusian Economy Ministry, told media on 1 June, BelTA has learned.

The representative of the Economy Ministry emphasized that the dialogue between the government and business has already been established. Special public and consultative councils are set up at ministries and oblast executive committees. “It has already become a part of our live and the work of the state machine. We, however, should not rest on our laurels. We should develop further, strengthen such mechanisms as the assessment of the regulatory control over regulatory legal acts, different forms of cooperation of government bodies and authorities,” said Piotr Arushanyants. “The Belarusian People’s Congress will prove that this area is the right one and help it strengthen its position,” he said.

According to the Director of the Entrepreneurship Department, entrepreneurship is a theme which discussion never ends. The situation has been worsened at the beginning of the year. However, the working group on the activity of self-employed entrepreneurs helped rectify it by March. The group has convened seven times and is going to meet in the near future once again. The agenda gets new issues which can be addressed through the explanation of the legislation. These issues are considered not only by the working group but also by entrepreneurship promotion centers, tax inspectorates, and business unions, Piotr Arushanyants said.
