Opinion: Minsk European Games will be unforgettable for fans

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - The 2nd European Games in Minsk will give sport fans unforgettable experience, Russian Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov told journalists as he attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition featuring Olympic prizes and medals from a private collection of famous Russian entrepreneur Vladimir Potanin in the Minsk Town Hall, BelTA has learned.

“I am happy that Belarus has prepared for the European Games so well. Minsk is a wonderful city. It is easy to travel to all sport venues and facilities of the games. I believe that the European Games will provide unforgettable experience for sport fans and participants,” Pavel Kolobkov said.

He also spoke about the medal chances of the Russian delegation at the games. “Our delegation is very big. The athletes have been training for the 2nd European Games and for 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics for four years. Russia is represented in all the sports of the games. I believe our team has good chances to win medals in all the sports,”Pavel Kolobkov said.
