Second European Games in Belarus

Minsk praised as excellent host of European Games

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – The level of delivery of the European Games in Minsk  is above all expectations, President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Janez Kocijancic told BelTA.

“We were expecting that everything would be fine but Minsk actually surpassed our expectations in terms of the level of organization of the games,” the EOC head said. Thanks to this international sports event Europe will learn more about Belarus and understand it better.

Janez Kocijancic noted that he likes Belarus and Belarusians. He said he visited the country often ahead of the games and is based here during the games. He has made sure that Belarusians are very hospitable people. He noted he will continue to visit the country: “Belarus is my country. I have fallen in love with it.”
