Minsk European Games, U-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup presented in Brussels

MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) - Presentation of the 2nd European Games and the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup took place during the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Congress in Brussels, BelTA has learned.

The upcoming major sports events in the capital of Belarus were presented by communications and media manager of the 2nd European Games Directorate Aleksei Bogdanovich and Secretary General of the Belarusian Basketball Federation Anastasia Marinina.

The Belarusian side did an interesting presentation on the terms of holding the FIBA Under-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup due in Minsk in July 2018 and the Palova Basketball 3x3 scheduled for 1-2 September, which will be a test event ahead of the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019.

“During the basketball tournaments in July and September in Minsk the organizers will create the most comfortable conditions for journalists. Drawing on extensive experience of hosting the tournaments at the highest level in our country, the Belarusian Basketball Federation will do its best to make sure the FIBA Under-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup in July and the 3x3 test tournament are held in accordance with all international standards,” Anastasia Marinina said.

Established in 1924, the AIPS is an international professional organization of journalists. Members of the association are the national association of sports journalists of 130 countries, including Belarus.
