Second European Games in Belarus

Minsk 2019: Belarus’ Yury Shcherbatsevich claims Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions silver

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) - Belarus’ Yury Shcherbatsevich secured the Men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions silver at the 2nd European Games 2019 in Minsk on 26 June, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian finished third in the qualifying round. In the final, Yury Shcherbatsevich fought for gold against Russia’s Sergey Kamenskiy, yet landed second. Bronze went to Istvan Peni of Hungary. 

The Women’s 25m Pistol event in Timoshenko Shooting Center was won by Greece’s Anna Korakaki. Silver was collected by Heidi Diethelm of Switzerland. Bronze went to Bulgaria’s Antoaneta Boneva. The Belarusians did not make it into the final. Viktoria Chaika placed 21st and Katsiaryna Kruchanok was 27th.

The shooting competitions at the 2nd European Games will be over on 28 June.
