Katulin: European Games promotion campaign abroad gathers pace

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) - The 2nd European Games promotion campaign abroad has intensified significantly, the head of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee George Katulin told the media as the Belarusian mobile carrier MTS and MEGOC signed a contract in BelTA’s press center on 26 June

When asked about the IT development for the upcoming games in June 2019, George Katulin noted that he is pleased with how the preparations are progressing. “We have signed a number of the agreements with companies in this field. I am happy with the pace of the promotion campaign within the country. We understand that we must step up the efforts to increase the awareness of the European Games in Europe. The first step has been taken. Monitoring of the European Games official social networks shows the high activity on the part of fans. More than 68,000 have already registered in our networks. However, given the scale of the continent which is home to 400 million these numbers are not sufficient. Last week the EOC signed a contract with the renowned PR agency, which will work to increase the visibility of the games abroad. For example, the well-known Internet publication Inside The Games has already published several publications about the opening of Dinamo Stadium in Minsk,” George Katulin said.

According to Marketing Manager of the 2nd European Games 2019 Organizing Committee Maksim Koshkalda, the nearest plans include active promotion of the forthcoming sport forum in Russia. “The partnership agreements signed by the organizing committee envisage the presentation of the European Games abroad. The organizing committee will be holding various promotional events in Russia and the European states throughout a year before the start of the Games in order to present Belarus using the European Games signature style. Work on expanding the Games broadcasting rights continues. I would like to note that apart from Europe agreements have already been reached with China and New Zealand,” he said.

MobileTeleSystems will provide the guests and participants of the 2nd European Games with mobile internet connection.

The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019.
