Information kiosks for 2nd European Games guests to open in Minsk on 19 June

MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) – As many as 20 extra information kiosks will be opened in Minsk to offer guidance to tourists during the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019. The first ones will be opened on 19 June. The information was released by Lyudmila Fokeyeva, a leading specialist with the Spectator Services Department of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), in BelTA’s press center.

The information kiosks will be located in sport venues and near the main transport hubs. The first ones will be opened on 19 June – several days before the games to accommodate early guests.

Volunteers will offer advertising and information materials, free traveler maps with places of interest. They will also explain how visitors can get to hotels or sport venues.

Information kiosks near sport venues will work in line with the schedule of the competitions. Information kiosks near transport hubs (bus and railway terminals, the airport) will open several days ahead of the games and will be closed several days after the games.

In turn, Head of the Central Office for Sport and Tourism of the Minsk City Executive Committee Mikhail Prokopenko noted that all the facilities of the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 are highly ready and are hosting test competitions.

The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 200 medal events in 15 sports.
