Belarus 5 TV channel to broadcast 24/7 during 2nd European Games

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) - Belarus 5 TV channel will broadcast round-the-clock during the 2nd European Games in June 2019, head of the Belarus 5 TV Channel Directorate Pavel Bulatsky told the media on 27 March, BelTA has learned.

Belteleradiocompany television channels will broadcast the maximum number of competitions. “Our representatives will accompany the lighting of the fire of the 2nd European Games in Rome on 3 May and the whole relay through to 21 June. Belarus 1 will broadcast live the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games. Belarus 5 will be working 24/7 during the games,” said Pavel Bulatsky.

Belteleradiocompany will use several TV channels for a broad coverage of the upcoming games. “Belarus 2 will broadcast from different sport facilities. Belarus 5, in addition to live broadcasts, will repeat the best moments of the competitions in the evenings. Belarus 5. Internet channel will be actively involved as well. The Sportcenter news program on Belarus 5 will be turned into Eurocenter, where athletes and experts will be expressing their opinions,” said Pavel Bulatsky.

Pavel Bulatsky assured that the fans will have an eventful program, including many original projects. Our Olympiad program will be aired starting from April.

The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in eight sports will be qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The Belarusian capital will welcome 2,000 coaches and other representatives of official delegations from 50 European national Olympic committees. Moreover, Belarus will welcome about 650 international and 410 national sport judges, about 1,000 representatives of foreign mass media, 100 presidents, secretaries general of the European sport federations and sport ministers, over 250 workers of the EOC headquarters, heads of European NOCs, and high-rankling officials from a number of countries. About 8,000 volunteers will be helping at the games.
