Stadler to help promote Belarusian freight wagons in Western Europe

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) - Stadler Rail Group will help Belarus promote freight wagons of Osipovichi Transport Engineering Plant on the markets of Western Europe, Stadler Rail Group CEO Peter Spuhler told reporters on 21 March, BelTA informs.

“We had a conversation with Director of Belarusian Railways Vladimir Morozov. We talked about the production of freight wagons in Osipovichi. We received a proposal to help them sell these products on the markets of Western Europe,” Peter Spuhler said.

In his words, the company is now mulling over this issue. “It looks rather good. I hope we will succeed in building our cooperation,” the businessman said.

In his opinion, Belarus is a very attractive country for foreign investors. “I travel a lot all over the world, I see many people and always advertise Belarus as a production platform,” Peter Spuhler said. During this visit to Belarus he also invited Belgian businessman Luc Tack to visit our country. “We are the owners of the biggest manufacturer of textile equipment in the world. He arrived in Belarus on my invitation and is very impressed,” the businessman said. According to him, the Belgian businessman is mulling over a joint project in the manufacture and sale of fertilizers with the Belarusian side.

Stadler Rail Group has been one of the leading European manufacturers of railway trains for 75 years. Stadler operates affiliated companies in Austria, Australia, Algeria, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Italy, and the USA.
