MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – Saudi Arabia is interested in buying medications in Belarus, BelTA learned from Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin after the second session of the Belarusian-Saudi Arabian joint committee in Minsk on 18 May.

Alexander Shumilin said: “It is not a solid agreement yet. But there is a serious interest on the part of Saudi Arabia in buying merchandise, in particular, medications. They’ve looked at the entire lineup from the point of view of value for money.”

The official remarked that all the medications Belarus makes comply with the highest quality standards and are available at competitive prices. As far as specific manufacturers are concerned, it is possible that Belmedpreparaty and Minskintercaps will be the ones to sell their products to Saudi Arabia.
