MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - After a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin in Minsk, Founder and CEO of the Wildberries marketplace Tatyana Kim explained ways how Wildberries will promote Belarusian goods, BelTA has learned.

Tatyana Kim noted that the meeting was highly productive and that a good tradition has emerged of aligning the positions about once a year. The commitments undertaken by the company have been almost fulfilled. Tatyana Kim also shared her impressions after visiting the new warehouse complex located in the Great Stone Industrial Park. Built according to a new concept, the facility offers comfortable working conditions. The facility is being launched in phases. The first phase is already up and running. The total area is around 140,000 square meters, of which 20,000 square meters are already operational.

“Construction of the warehouse is complete. Installation of structures and the fire safety system is underway. For users, the key benefit is reduced delivery times,” Tatyana Kim said.

Wildberries will also provide Belarusian manufacturers with new opportunities to promote their products, as many categories of goods that could have been sold previously faced limitations due to the absence of such a warehouse complex. The company has launched a growth platform, an international program aimed at supporting local entrepreneurs. The initiative includes 78 companies, among them 10 state-owned enterprises.

“We want to help businesses rethink sales approaches, possibly relaunch a brand or expand product lines, improve brand recognition and more,” Tatyana Kim noted, citing Belarusian linen and tourism destinations as examples.

The meeting also covered other company projects, including the launch of a taxi service and brand positioning: not only for entrepreneurs but also for regions, cities and Belarus as a whole. The company is also working on another warehouse complex project.

Tatyana Kim emphasized that Belarus produces a wide range of goods. Any product made in the country is a brand, she added.
