Presidents of Zimbabwe Botswana assess Belarus’ export potential at exhibition in Bulawayo

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) - Presidents of the Republic of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa and President of the Republic of Botswana Duma Boko visited the Made in Belarus exposition at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2026 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, BelTA learned from Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The presidents thoroughly examined the presented samples of Belarusian products and technological solutions, offered with consideration for the region’s specifics for the African market, within the framework of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2026.
Welcoming the participants and organizers of the Made in Belarus exposition, Zimbabwean leader Emmerson Mnangagwa emphasized that Belarus is a reliable partner and friend. The president of Zimbabwe thanked his Belarusian counterparts for their support in implementing joint projects and agreements.
In turn, President of the Republic of Botswana Duma Boko noted that the experience and competencies of specialists from Belarusian companies are highly sought after by Botswana. Opportunities for cooperation with Minsk open up new prospects for the development of several industrial sectors.
Within the framework of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair 2026, a presentation zone has been organized for enterprises and organizations that are members of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a thematic area dedicated to the upcoming international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus, which will take place in Minsk from 30 September to 2 October 2026.
Every year, on the sidelines of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, the portfolio of contracts and agreements grows, which subsequently leads to an increase in Belarusian exports to the country. Taking into account market needs and regional demand, the 2026 edition features, within the Belarusian section, developments in the line of specialized equipment, cargo vehicles, integrated solutions for the automation of technological processes and systems, including proposals for the municipal sector and agriculture, as well as the energy and food sectors.
