MINSK, 28 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin is paying a working visit to the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, the government press service told BelTA.
The head of government will familiarize himself with a number of key facilities and production capacities of resident companies.
As the press service noted, the Great Stone park is a high-tech international platform with modern integrated infrastructure, convenient logistics, and unique incentives for investors. It is not just an industrial zone but a multifunctional ecosystem that combines the development of industrial, logistics, and social sectors.
Even at the development stage of the Great Stone Industrial Park, elements of a smart, environmentally friendly city are being created. The park is located near Minsk and the National Airport, at the intersection of transport corridors connecting the EU, the EAEU, and China. It is an ideal point for logistics, e-commerce, and export.
Taking into account best international practices of investor relations, the park operates and develops a comprehensive resident service center: One-Stop Station. The focus is on a digital format of interaction with businesses.
As of 28 July, the park includes 173 resident companies from 15 countries, with a total declared investment volume of $1.61 billion (with $677 million already invested). More than 16,000 new jobs are planned to be created; 4,119 jobs have already been created.
The leading sectors of the park are R&D (45 projects), mechanical engineering (31 projects), biotechnology and pharmaceuticals (28 projects). Areas such as medicine, electronics, and new materials are also actively developing.
Unlike other free economic zones focused on industrial localization, Great Stone prioritizes attracting high-tech, innovative, science-intensive, export-oriented, and environmentally friendly production.
