MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) – Belarus exported its goods to 154 countries in 2024, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he summarized the economic performance of the country in 2024, BelTA has learned.

Active work of Belarus in foreign markets became an important factor which maintained the demand for Belarusian products, Roman Golovchenko said. "Belarusian products were exported to 154 countries. It means that we significantly expanded our presence in global trade. We launched export to 14 new destinations in 2024. These are mainly the countries of Africa and the so-called Global South. The supplies to some African countries multiplied. This is one of the president's instructions: to step up trade and economic cooperation precisely with the countries of the Global South, including Africa," the premier emphasized.

According to Roman Golovchenko, Belarus also showed good results in the traditional markets of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, increasing supplies by several times.
