MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) - The Belarus-Uzbekistan Forum of Regions is scheduled to take place in July in Minsk, Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov said during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich, the government’s press service told BelTA.
The meeting took place during the Belarusian deputy prime minister's visit to Tashkent to participate in the main plenary session of the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
“The most important event of our cooperation this year will certainly be the official visit of the president of Uzbekistan to Belarus in July. We are, of course, preparing thoroughly. The 3rd Forum of Regions is scheduled for July in Minsk. Our cooperation is very strong. In May, we expect a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Tashkent,” Abdulla Aripov said.

He noted that Belarus is a close and reliable friend of Uzbekistan. “Our people are bound by centuries-old ties of friendship, thanks to the high level of trust between the presidents of our countries. In recent years, our relations have been developing very dynamically. Foreign trade indicators are also improving at a good pace. The multifaceted partnership between our countries, under the leadership of our presidents, demonstrates good dynamics,” Abdulla Aripov emphasized.
He recalled that in February 2026, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. “We went through all our joint projects in detail and discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation,” Abdulla Aripov noted.
