Kyrgyzstan eyes assembly of Belarusian farm machinery

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Kyrgyzstan is interested in setting up assembly facilities of Belarusian agricultural machinery, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev said at a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA has learned.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that bilateral relations are based on the shared memory of the heroic past. This is a solid foundation. The two countries have signed over 50 bilateral international agreements. The parties are active participants of integration associations.

“We see the key task as filling our interaction with concrete economic projects,” Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized. “We are interested in setting up assembly productions of agricultural machinery in Kyrgyzstan.”

The Avtomash Radiator company acts as a dealer for products of Belarusian manufacturers. State-supported leasing programs are in place to upgrade the machinery and tractor fleet, enabling farmers to acquire equipment on favorable terms. “We see significant potential for joint projects with Belarusian partners, from expanding direct supplies to service centers and localization,” Adylbek Kasymaliev said.

Kyrgyzstan is interested in exchanging experience in animal husbandry and industrial cooperation. Adylbek Kasymaliev cited cooperation with Mogilevliftmash company on the installation of rotary parking facilities as an example of collaboration. The launch of a second such parking facility is planned in the near future. Another significant project is the construction of a waste recycling complex in the city of Karakol by a Belarusian enterprise. Work in this area continues in other cities of Kyrgyzstan.

Adylbek Kasymaliev also noted the successful holding of the Belarusian-Kyrgyz business forum as part of the Belagro international expo in Minsk. “We see the logical continuation in organizing the next business forum in Bishkek next year,” he added.
