MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Belarus can significantly increase its exports through the service industry, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi told the media following a meeting with the head of state to finalize the country’s socio-economic development program for 2026-2030, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus can seriously boost its overall exports through its service industry,” he believes.
Dmitry Krutoi noted that the meeting touched on this topic using tourism as an example, which was recently discussed during Aleksandr Lukashenko’s working trip to the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. The focus is not only on ecological tourism, but also medical tourism, educational services, and a range of other areas.
The head of the Belarus President Administration emphasized the importance of more active efforts to expand precisely the export of services, so that Belarus can maintain average global economic growth rates. This will help offset risks of declines in exports of certain goods during specific periods. “We have an open economy, and we are highly dependent on exports,” he stressed.
