Kobyakov, Sobyanin visit business and culture center at Belarus’ Embassy in Russia

MOSCOW, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin visited a new business and culture center at the Belarusian Embassy in Russia on 28 September, BelTA has learned.

The excursion was hosted by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko. He spoke about a unique project, construction stages and the building’s functionality.

Sergey Sobyanin left the first note in the Book of Distinguished Guests. “A new business center is a symbol of cooperation of Moscow and Minsk,” the Moscow mayor wrote.

The construction of the business and culture center was envisaged in the Belarus President decree for the enhancement of the Belarusian-Russian economic and cultural cooperation. The total area of the complex is over 15,000 squire meters. It includes a multi-purpose conference hall, a music and literature room, a library, a Belarusian restaurant. The technological characteristics and equipment of the facility comply will all modern standards. The center can host a wide range of events such as state celebrations, business consultations and negotiations, premier performances, concerts and international conferences.

The official opening ceremony of the business and culture center at the Belarusian Embassy in Russia is scheduled for 29 September.
