MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) - India is interested in further deliveries of Belarusian potash fertilizers. The issue was discussed during a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko and Secretary of the Department of Fertilizers of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Deputy Minister) Anuj Kumar Bishnoi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The parties discussed the cooperation in the sphere of supplies and production of potash fertilizers. In 2014 Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) supplied 680,500 tonnes of potassium chloride to India, which in natural terms was up 25% from 2012, and 68% more as against 2013. In January-August Belarus exported 751,200 tonnes of potassium chloride to India.

The parties showed interest in further cooperation in the field of deliveries of Belarusian potash fertilizers to the Indian market. It was noted that BPC is a reliable supplier of potash fertilizers to India.

The Belarusian enterprise has strong ties with the company Indian Potash Limited. In June 2015, they signed a memorandum of cooperation for 2016-2021. The document is aimed at the development of bilateral cooperation in supplies of Belarusian potash fertilizers to India.

Belarusian Potash Company also participates in tenders and exports its products to several other Indian companies, including Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. The participants of the meeting praised the Indian company and the professionalism of its employees. They pointed out that the cooperation is well-coordinated and stressed that the sides perform their contractual obligations in good faith.
