GOMEL, 9 March (BelTA) – Gomel Oblast tourism potential will be displayed at three thematic events in Moscow, BelTA learned from Marina Yashenkova, the main specialist of the tourism department at the sports and tourism office of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.
Gomel Oblast will take part in two large international tourism exhibitions Intourmarket and MITT 2017 Travel and Tourism. Gomel Oblast will also present its tourism potential at the Business and Cultural Center of the Belarusian embassy in the Russian Federation. The Gomel Oblast delegation will be led by head of the sports and tourism office of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Denis Yezersky. The delegation will also include representatives of local travel agencies, spa resorts, and oblast Olympic reserve centers.
Traditionally, Gomel Oblast makes part of the Belarusian National Tourism Agency exposition at the Intourmarket Expo. This year, however, the format of Gomel Oblast's participation in the forum will be different. “We will attend the exhibition on 12 March, the day of the biggest number of visitors, and will do our best to cover all the events interesting for us. On 13-14 march we will use the opportunity to display the tourism potential of Gomel Oblast at the Business and Cultural Center and MITT 2017,” Marina Yashenkova said.
She noted that the participation in such forums promotes the inter-sector dialogue, and help work out optimal decisions and ways to develop the market of tourism services in the new conditions.
