Gazprom interested in agricultural machines with Belarusian gas engines sold to Russia

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – OAO Gazprom is interested in shipments of agricultural machines that use Belarusian gas engines to Russia, BelTA learned from Gazprom Deputy Chairman of the Board Vitaly Markelov on 26 March.

Tractors with gas engines have been delivered to Tatarstan enterprises for the sake of testing them in Russia. “It is a huge market. Agriculture needs a lot of machines. We see very good prospects for working together in this area,” said Vitaly Markelov.

The executive was satisfied with the development of cooperation between Gazprom and Belarusian enterprises with regard to the production of gas engine vehicles. He also spoke in positive terms about the implementation of the roadmap of the project meant to expand the use of Belarusian high-tech products and technologies by Gazprom.

A conference took place in Minsk to discuss the implementation of the roadmap specified by the project, which is designed to expand the use of Belarusian high-tech products and technologies by OAO Gazprom. The roadmap was signed during the specialized exhibition Belarus-Gazprom: Industry. Technologies. Cooperation in November 2014. Apart from that, the conference focused on standardization of merchandise, production of gas engine vehicles and gas equipment for Gazprom.

Representatives of government agencies took part in the conference as well as representatives of concerned ministries and agencies, top enterprises and industrial groups, the delegations of OAO Gazprom and OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus. Participants of the conference were made familiar an exhibition of new vehicles and equipment made by OAO Minsk Automobile Plant and OAO Minsk Motor Plant.
