From mowers to high-horsepower tractors: What to expect at Belagro 2026

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Head of the Main Directorate for Foreign Economic Activity of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry Ksenia Meleshko shared details at a press conference about what will be showcased at the international specialized exhibition Belagro 2026, BelTA has learned.

According to Ksenia Meleshko, 570 applications from 12 countries have been submitted for the exhibition. The total area of the exhibition is 42,600 square meters. “Food products and new arrivals from all regions of Belarus will be presented in the indoor area, while the potential of the agricultural industry, heavy machinery engineering, and greenhouse farming will be showcased in the outdoor area. Eleven agricultural complexes are participating in Belagro 2026, and they will offer their products to visitors. In addition, the potential of manufacturers of fertilizers and plant protection products will be presented at the exhibition. There are about 18 of them,” she said.

A packed business communications agenda is on the horizon in 2026, featuring the international forum titled as Agro-SCO: Growth Strategy. “The event will bring together representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to share best practices in agricultural development. Furthermore, the SCO deputy secretary-general is set to attend the forum,” the representative of the Agriculture and Food Ministry added.

The interregional forum Retail Days in Minsk will be held within the framework of the exhibition on 2-3 June. “This event is organized jointly with Belarus’ Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry and Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade. The forum will be useful for retail participants from both countries. In addition, a matchmaking event – B2B negotiations between Russian retail chains and Belarusian manufacturers – will be organized as part of the Retail Days in Minsk. A separate session with Russian regions is expected for roundtable talks to find common ground for joint work,” Ksenia Meleshko added.

According to her, Belagro 2026 will be visited by more than 40 foreign delegations from Algeria, Oman, regions of Russia, and other countries. talks between Belarusian manufacturers and businesses from Kazakhstan and Georgia will be organized. It is expected that the exhibition will be visited by Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations Qu Dongyu, with whom food security issues will be discussed.

According to Head of the Agricultural Mechanical Engineering Department of the Industry Ministry Andrei Sinilo, products of the enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry will be presented at the exhibition. The exposition will feature more than 130 samples of modern machinery and equipment on an area of approximately 8,000 square meters, including more than 35 new arrivals. “Among them is a new 540-horsepower tractor. Four experimental units have already been assembled and are undergoing trials,” he said. Serial models of a 350-horsepower tractor will be tested on the open field site.

“Among MTZ’s new arrivals, self-propelled lawnmowers, self-propelled feed pushers, and a modernized line of tractors will be presented. Bobruiskagromash will showcase for the first time new round balers developed in accordance with the instruction of the head of state, which allow wrapping the bale in stretch film and netting. Semi-trailers and machines for applying liquid organic fertilizers will also be presented. Gomselmash will traditionally showcase its line of grain and forage harvesters,” Andrei Sinilo added.

MAZ will demonstrate suburban buses and tractor units used both in agriculture and in other sectors of the national economy. Lidselmash will present a pneumatic seeder with a working width of 15 meters. Various harrows and chisel plows, self-propelled agricultural sprayers, and a belt merger will also be demonstrated. The Amkodor holding company will show a lineup of universal standard-size loaders, compact excavators (tracked and self-propelled), a feed mixer and distributor, a grain cleaner, and a mobile grain dryer.

The 36th international specialized exhibition Belagro will take place at the BelExpo National Exhibition Center. The exhibition program includes a series of scientific and practical seminars, master classes, presentations, and business meetings with representatives of the business community, enterprises, and agricultural industry leaders. Annually, Belagro summarizes international experience in agricultural industry and machinery engineering and serves as a platform for finding original innovative solutions in the field of environmentally friendly materials and waste-free technologies.
