MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) – Belarus offers Indonesia not only supplies of food, fertilizers, and machinery, but also a full technology transfer, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus Aleksandr Yegorov said on the air of the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“The roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and Indonesia through 2030 is a document of exceptional practical importance. Behind each point are millions of dollars, thousands of jobs, concrete deadlines, and responsible individuals. Among the most important areas, the following can be highlighted. First, it is food security. Indonesia’s agriculture critically depends on potash supplies. Without fertilizers, it is impossible to maintain the yields of oil palm plantations and rice paddies. Belaruskali has traditionally acted here as a highly reliable strategic partner, ensuring the region’s food stability and covering a significant share of Indonesia’s import needs for agrochemicals,” Aleksandr Yegorov said.

The second vital area is mechanical engineering. “First of all, Indonesia is the largest coal producer. Our BelAZ mining dump trucks have been successfully operating in its giant open-pit mines for 15 years. Belarusian vehicles have proved their durability in the most challenging equatorial climate with 100% humidity. But this is not just about mining machinery. In the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects, one cannot do without MAZ and Amkodor equipment. There are agreements on the supply of agricultural machinery – not just tractors, but the entire complex with attachments and the establishment of service centers. Here, Belarus’ proposals perfectly align with Indonesia’s needs,” the first deputy chairman of the National Bank’s Board noted. “Belarus offers Indonesia a full technology transfer. We are ready to assemble our tractors, trucks, and municipal vehicles directly in Indonesia, create jobs, and train Indonesian engineers based on our unique expertise. This aligns with Indonesia’s national development strategy.”

The third promising area of cooperation is the supply of Belarusian food products. “The Indonesian market is huge, with nearly 300 million people who require compliance with strict religious standards. Belarusian meat and dairy giants have carried out extensive work to certify their products according to the strictest global Halal standards. Today, our milk powder, baby food, whey, and cheeses are discovering this market. The export potential is estimated at $100 million – and that is just for milk powder alone. At the same time, our partnership is a two-way street. We are not simply looking for new markets on the equator, but are also ready to act as a reliable and convenient gateway to the EAEU market for our Indonesian friends. Moreover, the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia, signed in St. Petersburg at the end of 2025, opens up unprecedented opportunities for duty-free trade. Belarus is ready to offer Jakarta the most comfortable conditions for logistics, industrial cooperation, and goods distribution across the entire Eurasian space, guaranteeing reliable business protection and excellent infrastructure,” Aleksandr Yegorov pointed out.

Bilateral trade between Belarus and Indonesia in 2025 amounted to over $600 million, with a 10% growth in Belarusian exports in January-May 2026. “Obviously, the successful state visit and the agreements reached by businesses should allow us to reach figures above $1 billion in the medium term,” the first deputy chairman of the National Bank’s Board said.
