MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – The competitiveness of Belarusian products has grown thanks to the cooperation with Chinese companies, Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said during talks with Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China Xin Guobin, the press service of Belarus’ Industry Ministry told BelTA.

The parties held detailed discussions on the outcomes and future prospects of China-Belarus industrial cooperation.

“The joint Belarus-China enterprise BelGee, established at the instruction of the heads of state, is a model of such cooperation. For 14 years, the project has demonstrated the all-weather friendship between China and Belarus. The plant has produced over 300,000 vehicles. It is undergoing large-scale modernization and launching production of cars powered by new types of fuel,” the minister emphasized.

Industrial cooperation between Chinese and Belarusian enterprises is picking up steam across various sectors: the supply of a wide range of spare parts, technological equipment, raw materials, and components, the establishment and operation of joint ventures. In this context, the talks addressed opportunities for further localization of production.

Andrei Kuznetsov expressed satisfaction with the effective strategic engagement with major Chinese corporations. “Thanks to cooperation with Chinese companies, products manufactured in Belarus have enhanced their competitiveness in third-country markets and have also met domestic demand,” he noted.

The talks also focused on the activities of the Belarus-China commission on industrial cooperation, established on 21 May 2025, during the sixth session of the Belarus-China intergovernmental committee on cooperation. Andrei Kuznetsov and Xin Guobin discussed plans for the commission’s inaugural meeting, as well as matters related to deepening cooperation and implementing joint industrial projects that contribute to the economic development of both countries.
