Contracts worth almost $19m concluded at Belarus-Azerbaijan business forum in Baku

BAKU, 5 May (BelTA) - Contracts worth $18.9 million were concluded at the Belarus-Azerbaijan business forum in Baku, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov told journalists, BelTA learned.

According to Mikhail Myatlikov, a total of 12 documents were concluded, three of them online. “There was a large number of business representatives from Azerbaijan. Many of them have long-term ties with Belarusian partners but there were also those we met for the first time,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.

Meetings are scheduled for the second day of the visit of the Belarusian business delegation. “We are looking forward to hosting our partners from Azerbaijan at the Belagro exhibition in Minsk in June. They have confirmed their intention to attend. We will participate in Caspian Agro on 13-16 May. A total of 17 Belarusian enterprises have confirmed their participation. They are going to present their novelties in Baku,” he said.

In particular, three contracts were signed at the business forum between Mostovdrev  and Sosna to supply plywood, laminated flooring and MDF boards.

Kamvol signed contracts with Smart Style MMC and Baku Sewing House to supply fabrics. A contract was concluded between Spartak and AZNUR to supply confectionery products.

A contract of intentions was signed between Borkof-Agro and Stapri-Azerbaijan for the supply of rubber boards. A cooperation agreement was inked between LEMT science and technology center at BelOMO Holding Company and the National Aviation Academy of AZAL

In addition, Belshina, Azertekhnika and Azbelshin signed a memorandum of cooperation in absentia during the forum. It envisages the supply of tire products to the region in 2025-2026.
