Following the talks with the Chinese delegations at the forum in Minsk, the parties outlined plans that can be implemented in the oblast center with China’s participation.

The first thing that aroused interest among Chinese representatives is a possibility to acquire the 16-floor hotel Grodno that is up for sales. It is the biggest hotel in the oblast center which is operated inefficiency. The Grodno authorities are determined to find a new owner to the facility.

It is a good basis to produce goods on our territory, which will be in demand on other markets,” he said.

Chinese partners from Gansu Province that were on a visit to Grodno in April 2015 were shown areas for the development of companies to produce PVC pipes and biologically active supplements.

An idea was voiced at the Minsk forum to develop traditional Chinese medicine in Grodno Oblast. The proposal was put forward by Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Kravtsov as he talked to the Gansu Province Vice Governor. The mayor supported the idea.
